Adult Hockey Education Program 2007-2008

Pick-up Hockey can be a lot of fun, but it isn't always the best place to hone your skills or develop some of the basic skills you need to get more enjoyment from the game.

For the fourth year in a row, Twin Valley Hockey is offering an Adult Hockey Education Program that focuses on Never-Ever, Novice and Intermediate hockey players.  Recognizing that pick-up hockey can only teach you so much -  we focus on fundamental skills such as modern power-skating techniques, stick handling, passing and shooting.  There will also be an occasional session with a professional power skating instructor from The Skater's Edge.

We will balance skills with team tactics and position play fundamentals (ever wondered just what a "break-out" is?)  we will break it down for you in easy to understand terms.

Each session will have a scrimmage as well to use the skills you learn and to keep it fun!

We skate at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH (approximately 15 minutes south of exit 20 of I-89)

Bottom line, this is about having fun so: no fighting, intentional body contact or slap shots will be allowed. The only requirements are some money, full protective equipment and a desire to improve your game! (please read the terms and conditions at the end of this page)

Program Includes:

Registration

To Register, click on the Registration link, print the forms as directed, fill them out and mail to the address shown along with a registration deposit of $100.00

Note: When filling out the forms, sign as both parent and player, do not provide information on your mother and father.

Fees

With an option for up to three installments, you can register for the entire session for 350.00. That comes to about 10.00 per session which is less than what most pickup hockey sessions will run - when you include the jersey, games, and professional instruction, it is an exceptional value!

A 100.00 deposit is required for initial registration, the remaining 250.00 can be paid in up to three separate installments by mailing to the address on the registration page.

At this time, the program IS NOT open to drop in or "pay as you go" participation. We may open it at a later date depending upon registration. If we open to pay as you go, the fee will be a one time 35.00 registration fee and 15.00 per session. Another reason the 350.00 season registration is such an exceptional value.
